Historic Ormiston House is regarded as the birthplace of the Australian Sugar Industry. 

It was built by Hon. Captain Louis Hope and dates back to 1862.

 The beautiful house is considered to be one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in Queensland. 

The meticulously restored house, expansive grounds and beautiful gardens overlook stunning Moreton Bay to the East.


  

ORMISTON HOUSE WILL BE CLOSED ON FATHERSV DAY -SUNDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER

Ormiston House is open every Sunday (February to December) from 12-4pm. 

Entry to tour the house and grounds is $8.00 Adult & $5.00 Child (5-12yrs). 

Devonshire Tea is served on the Veranda for $8.00pp. A gluten free option is available.


Ormiston House holds a number of special events during the year. These include Mother's Day, Spring and Xmas in July High Teas, Autumn and Xmas Craft Markets, Qld Rolls Royce Concours, various Musical Performances and finishes off the year with Christmas Carols on the lawn.

Weekday Tea and Tours are available to groups upon booking.

Ormiston House also caters for Special Events including Birthdays, Bridal and Baby Showers and Conferences.
